Jayne Brown

Jayne is an innovative and experienced educator with expertise in adult learning, workforce engagement, program development, professional learning and strategic leadership.

Prior to founding Shift Consulting Group, Jayne worked for 3 years at a leading community sector not for profit organisation as the General Manager in the NT. During that time she led the transformation and development of NT operations from 1 program and a team of 2 to a thriving NT hub with over 20 staff and 4 significant programs. She began her career in the finance industry working in banking before taking a career change in her late twenties to undertake her Bachelor degree. At the conclusion of her degree she worked as a research assistant at Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Perth working on projects related to children's wellbeing and later as a sessional lecturer and tutor in the areas of community development, social program evaluation and student transition and industry readiness. Another university and another challenge found her working with students as they started their university career at the University of Western Australia (UWA) and bringing together student volunteers in an innovative peer mentoring program. In this role she also worked on a number of collaborative projects across the university. During this time she concurrently completed a Master of Training and Development at the University of New England (UNE). A move to Darwin in 2009 found her working at Charles Darwin University (CDU), coordinating the short course program and supporting the business development activities of the university through tender writing and preparation
